Working groups

The TBI working groups bring together expertise from business, politics and academia. They serve as a platform for informal and formal exchange. They help to develop concrete solutions to current challenges in transatlantic business.

The working group analyses economic policy challenges in transatlantic relations, particularly in the areas of trade, energy and climate. It also takes into account the strategic dynamics between the US and China and develops approaches for a more resilient, competitive German economy.

The working group deals with issues and implications of the Trump administration’s current customs and trade policy. The focus is primarily on protectionist measures, such as customs duties, and their consequences for international supply chains and markets.

The working group deals with current issues in the transatlantic context, focusing on the banking and financial sector. These include, for example, financial market regulation and supervision, sanctions, the impact of tariffs on financial markets, the digitalisation of financial services and sustainable finance.
